Timesheet template with overtime, worked through
Overtime is where paper timesheets go wrong. Hoursprig works out each day's double time and daily overtime first (or the 7th-day split on the 7th day in a row), and only the hours that are still regular count toward the weekly limit, so no hour is paid as overtime twice. The worked example below is a real 62-hour week at $24 an hour with every rule switched on.

Why teams pick Hoursprig
- Rules as settings: weekly limit, daily limit, double-time limit, multipliers and the 7th-day rule.
- No pyramiding: hours already paid as daily overtime are not counted again toward the weekly limit.
- Each overtime hour shown per day and per workweek on the printed timesheet.
- Check your state or country: the 40-hour weekly default is the US federal (FLSA) rule.
How it works
- Set the rules: weekly limit and rate, and with Pro the daily, double-time and 7th-day rules.
- Type the week's in and out times and breaks; each day shows its regular and overtime hours.
- Print the timesheet with the rules written on it, or export a CSV for payroll (Pro).
FAQ
Why is Friday all overtime in the example?
By Thursday the week already has 40 regular hours (Sunday to Thursday after daily overtime is taken out), so every Friday hour is over the weekly limit.
What is the 7th-day rule?
Some states, such as California, pay the first 8 hours on the 7th consecutive workday of a workweek as overtime and the rest as double time. Hoursprig applies it only when you switch it on.
Can I change 40 hours or 1.5×?
Yes. The weekly limit, daily limits and both multipliers are editable settings.
Is my data private?
Yes. Hoursprig runs in your browser: names, times and pay rates are saved only on your device and the PDF is made there. Nothing is uploaded.
Can I cancel Pro?
There is nothing to cancel: Pro is a single $15 payment with no subscription, and the free plan stays free.
Is this legal or payroll advice?
No. Hoursprig calculates from your inputs and settings; it is not legal or payroll advice. Overtime rules differ by state and country.
