Each recall: problem, risk and fix

Exterior Lighting › Hazard Flashing Warning Lights (25V612000, 2025-09-12)

Problem: Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2017-2024 T-Series, 2023-2025 e-TRIEVER, and HUSK-e terminal trucks. The hazard warning lights may turn off when the ignition is in the 'Off' position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk: Hazard lights that do not remain on cannot warn other drivers of a disabled vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Free fix: OEV field service will install a new hazard light wire harness and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed by November 24, 2025. Owners may contact OEV customer service at 1-866-688-5223. OEV's number for this recall is 2025-SRC-07.

Exterior Lighting › Back Up Lights (25V328000, 2025-05-20)

Problem: Orange EV is recalling certain 2024 HUSK-e, 2023-2025 e-TRIEVER, and 2017-2024 T-Series trucks. The pintle hook partially blocks the center of the backup lights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk: Obstructed backup lights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to pedestrians or other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Free fix: Orange EV service will replace the rear passenger taillight, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 15, 2025. Owners may contact Orange EV customer service at 1-866-688-5223.

Exterior Lighting (24V965000, 2024-12-20)

Problem: Orange EV is recalling certain 2023-2024 HUSK-e, 2023-2025 e-TRIEVER, and 2017-2024 T-Series trucks. The front side marker lights may be missing, and the passenger front side reflectors may be in the incorrect location. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk: Missing or incorrectly positioned lights and reflectors can reduce the trailers visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Free fix: Owners are advised to limit on-road use while operating without a trailer until the remedy is available. Orange EV will install front side marker lights and relocate the front reflectors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 15, 2025. Equipment › Other › Owners/Service/Other Manual (24V800000, 2024-10-24)

Problem: Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2017-2024 T-Series and 2023-2024 e-TRIEVER terminal trucks. The Emergency Response Guide (ERG), operator, maintenance, and service manuals incorrectly state that the emergency stop button in the vehicle cab will shut off and lock out the high voltage system.

Risk: Incorrect lockout instructions can mislead the operator into thinking the high voltage system is shut down, increasing the risk of injury by electrical shock.

Free fix: OEV will provide corrected ERG, operator, and maintenance manuals and add additional warning labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 20, 2024. Owners may contact OEV customer service at 1-866-688-5223. OEV's number for this recall is 2024-SRC-01.
