Each recall: problem, risk and fix

Service Brakes, Air › Supply › Reservoir/Tank (25V449000, 2025-07-03)

Problem: Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2015-2022 ACTT (Xspotter) and ACX (Xpeditor) vehicles. The air tanks have an insufficient volume of air for the brake system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

Risk: Insufficient air volume can reduce brake function, extending the distance required to stop and increasing the risk of a crash.

Free fix: Dealers will inspect and replace or add additional air tanks as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed August 29, 2025. Owners will receive a second notice once remedy parts become available, anticipated September 2026. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's numbers for this recall are ACTT-2503 and ACX-2503.
