Suspension › Critical Fasteners (26V029000, 2026-01-21)

Problem: Alexis Fire Equipment Company (Alexis Fire) is recalling a 2022 and a 2024 tanker truck built on Freightliner M2 chassis. The axle clamp fasteners may be loose, which can result in a loss of vehicle control.

Risk: A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash.

Free fix: An authorized Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) service facility will inspect and tighten the fasteners, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 28, 2026. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712 or Alexis Fire customer service at 1-309-482-6121. DTNA's number for this recall is F1027.

Latches/Locks/Linkages › Doors › Latch (25V706000, 2025-10-16)

Problem: Alexis Fire Equipment Company (Alexis Fire) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Pumper, 2024 Rescue, and 2020-2024 Tanker fire trucks built on Spartan chassis. The actuator lever arm in the Spartan cab door latch may bind or become wedged, preventing the door from opening.

Risk: A door that cannot be opened may trap occupants inside the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.

Free fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the door latches as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 7, 2025. Owners may contact Alexis Fire customer service at 1-309-482-6121.

Electrical System › Wiring (24V009000, 2024-01-09)

Problem: Alexis Fire Equipment Company (Alexis Fire) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Apparatus fire trucks equipped with Weldon 8X16 Input-Output nodes. In the event of a short circuit or wiring failure, the firmware in the node may fail to shut off the output pin, resulting in overloaded electrical circuits.

Risk: Overloaded electrical circuits can overheat, increasing the risk of fire.

Free fix: Dealers will update the firmware, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 22, 2024. Owners may contact Alexis Fire customer service at 1-309-482-6121.

Parking Brake (23V748000, 2023-11-07)

Problem: Alexis Fire Equipment Company (Alexis Fire) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Fire Apparatus vehicles built on Spartan Chassis. A defect in the inversion valve may delay park brake engagement, which could allow the vehicle to move unintentionally. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

Risk: Unintentional vehicle movement can increase the risk of a crash or injury.

Problem: Alexis Fire Equipment Company (Alexis Fire) is recalling certain 2022 Emergency Utility, Flatbed Brush, and 300 Gallon Mini Pumper Fire Apparatus vehicles, equipped with a Warn Winch and a wireless handheld remote. Water may enter the handheld remote control for the winch and cause circuit board corrosion, which can allow the winch to operate unintentionally.

Risk: A winch that operates unintentionally increases the risk of injury.

Free fix: Alexis Fire will work with Warn Industries, Inc. to provide owners instructions on how to inspect the remote for corrosion and disable the wireless function by removing the battery pack from the remote. If corrosion or water intrusion is found when removing the battery pack owners should stop using the remote and contact WARN customer service for a replacement remote, free of charge. Once new parts are available, WARN will make a replacement water resistant remote available, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 5, 2023.
