How it works
Our server fetches the page once, like a browser would, and reads the tags search engines and social networks use. It also tries up to 10 links on the page and asks for robots.txt, sitemap.xml, the favicon and the share image. The score is out of 100: speed and share previews weigh the most, then broken links, title, description and HTTPS.
Is the roast mean?
It roasts the page, never the people behind it. Every line is about something you can fix in an afternoon, and every card ends with one honest compliment.
Why is my score different from Lighthouse?
Lighthouse runs the page in a real browser and measures rendering. The roast checks what the server sends (response time, tags, links), which is what Google and link previews see first. Use both.
Do you store the sites I roast?
No. We keep only a daily count of cards made and shared. No addresses, no IPs, no cookies.
Can I roast many sites at once?
The toy is one site at a time. For whole lists of domains, the Linkheft API scores authority for thousands of domains and DomainDNA shows each site's tech stack and email setup.
