Dataset Commercial License + Support
1. Parties and acceptance
This agreement is between CyberMax ("we") and the company or organisation named at checkout ("licensee", "you"). It starts when your payment succeeds. Paying through the CyberMax checkout is acceptance of this version of the terms. Your licence page and PDF certificate show your licence ID, plan and term.
2. Plans
| Plan | Who it covers | Price | Support first reply |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | one company or organisation with up to 10 people (employees and contractors) | $49 a year | 2 business days |
| Business | one company or organisation with up to 250 people | $199 a year | 2 business days |
| Enterprise | one company or organisation of any size, its affiliates included | $499 a year | 1 business day |
Prices are in US dollars, before any tax the checkout adds. Business days are Monday to Friday in US Eastern time, US federal holidays excluded.
3. What is licensed
- Coverage: every public CyberMax dataset on Hugging Face (huggingface.co/datasets/CyberMax-tools) and its Kaggle mirror, including new datasets and new versions released during your term.
- Our contribution: for the parts CyberMax created (compilation, joins, derived fields, scores, documentation), you get a non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable licence to use them for any internal or commercial purpose, including inside your own products and services, for the term and, for copies you made during the term, after it. Attribution to CyberMax is optional for licensees.
- Source data: third-party source data keeps its own terms, listed in each dataset card (for example public-domain US government records, CC0, or attribution requests from the source). This licence cannot grant rights we do not hold, and it does not remove a source's attribution request.
- Nothing is taken away: the free files, their columns, history and open licences stay exactly as they are for everyone.
4. Invoice and certificate
Every payment comes with a Stripe receipt by email. Your licence page links to the billing portal, where you can download invoices, update the card and cancel renewal. Your licence page also creates a PDF certificate with the licensee name, plan, term and licence ID, which you can file with procurement or show to auditors.
5. Support
Email cybermax.tools@gmail.com and quote your licence ID. Support covers questions about the data, fields and sources; loading and integration help; and error reports. We aim to send a first reply within your plan's time in section 2. Custom datasets, custom exports and consulting are not included, but we are glad to quote for them.
6. Freshness commitment
- Each dataset is refreshed on the cadence published in its card and in its
latest.jsonfile (for example "weekly, Mondays"). One-off snapshots are marked as snapshots and are not refreshed. - If a scheduled refresh is more than 3 business days late, that counts as a missed commitment (section 8), unless the public source itself did not publish new data.
- Data errors you report that are ours (not the source's) are fixed in the next scheduled refresh.
- We give licensees at least 30 days' notice by email before retiring a refreshed dataset or making a breaking change to its columns, and the last version stays downloadable.
7. Availability commitment
The files are hosted on Hugging Face, with a Kaggle mirror for most datasets. If a dataset's current files cannot be downloaded from either for more than 24 hours, email us and we will send you a direct download of the latest files within 1 business day.
8. Service levels and credits
If we miss a commitment in sections 5 to 7, email us within 30 days and we will add one month to your term for each missed commitment, up to 3 months per term. Service credits are your remedy for missed commitments. Refunds follow our standard terms: if the licence does not work as described, email us within 14 days of a payment for a fix or a full refund.
9. Term, renewal and cancellation
The term is 12 months from payment and renews every year until cancelled. Cancel at any time from the billing portal (linked from your licence page). The licence then runs to the end of the paid year and does not renew. A licence covers the named licensee only and cannot be transferred, shared with another company or resold.
10. Information, not advice; liability
The data comes from the public sources named in each dataset card and from automated processing. It may be incomplete or out of date, and it is general information, not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice. Apart from the commitments in sections 5 to 8, the data is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability under this licence is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
11. Changes
We may publish new versions of these terms on this page. Your current term stays on the version you accepted. A new version applies from your next renewal, and we email licensees about material changes at least 30 days before that renewal.
