Where does the data come from?
Google Trends' public 'Trending now' RSS feed for each of the 30 countries, read about every 15 minutes. Swellmeter keeps every snapshot, which gives you day lists and history the feed itself does not keep.
Why not SerpApi?
SerpApi scrapes Google live on every request and covers many Google Trends endpoints, so it is the better fit for interest-over-time charts of arbitrary keywords. For trending-now lists with history, Swellmeter answers from stored snapshots: $5 for 1,500 calls instead of $25 for 1,000 searches.
